Country wild planting scheme– Otford
Design Brief
As planting specialists ever conscious of how we need to help wildlife wherever we can in our schemes, our Otford project provided a great opportunity to design a planting scheme which not looked fabulous throughout the year but also created a wildlife magnet for a wide variety of local species. This long, deep border was literally buzzing with activity and by carefully staggering flowering times, we made sure there were rich sources of food and nectar over a long duration. For those who love plants and want to help nature, this is the type of planting which excels and changes in vibrant hues and tints as the seasons progress. Gently meandering pathways take you through the planting, right into the heart of the sensory explosion.
